What is CrimeLine^TM?

 

CrimeLine^TM is an employee-friendly toll-free reporting line – which enables and encourages your employees to contribute to reporting and preventing planned or existing internal criminal acts or wrongdoing.  It is a first-rate  management tool with which to offer employees the opportunity to report, and indirectly, correct wrongdoing within their company.

CrimeLine^TM is staffed by a complement of specialised and multilingual advisors (minimum qualification: Law degree), ready to respond to and deal with calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  It operates totally independently of your company – ensuring objectivity, impartiality and absolute fairness.  Furthermore, all information is strictly confidential and the caller is assured of his or her complete anonymity at all times (Protected Disclosures Act).

 

What types of incidents are typically reported?

 

· The theft of company assets, small or substantial

· The contravention of company safety and security procedures

· The contravention of company norms, e.g. drug and alcohol abuse in the workplace; or

· Serious or highly sensitive occurrences such as sexual harassment or discrimination

· Telephone abuse;

· Fraud.

 

How does CrimeLine^TM work?

 

CrimeLine^TM classifies all calls into a risk-ranking logging structure of ‘high’, ‘medium’ or ‘low’ risk.  Reported cases are then filtered to a CCS client-appointed Risk Advisor, who in turn consults with the client.  The Validity of the report is assessed and the need for further investigation evaluated.  Investigation entails all evidence gathering aspects relevant to the end result – be it disciplinary action or criminal prosecution.
